Bus ride to Loja

I'm not yet in Vilcabamba, but I know that there is a bus to Loja, and it costs about $1.50 for the ride. I can only assume it runs around 40 minutes but can't be sure. A couple of friends of mine just stayed in Loja for almost a month and used it twice to travel between Love and Vilca. I do plan on having a car when I move in February simply because my independence requires it, but once I am settled in, I also plan on using the bus that comes to our barrio four times a day. As far as the number of times the bus travels between Loja and Vilca, I cannot say.
