Can I stay for 6 months, no job/marriage, long hol from UK?

Hello there,

Does anyone know if it is possible to stay in Mauritius for around 6 months? I have called Mauritius Embassy but they are no help.

I am from the UK and taking a long sabbatical to travel, want to come to Mauritius for 3-6 months for water sports training. I have an income and savings to support myself.

Is there any kind of temporary residence permit I can apply for or how easy is it to get visa extensions please?

I think yes you can stay..either buying an IRS villa I haveca good contact for the cheapest irs villa..
Or what you can do..opening a company here
