am a Puneite by birth living in Germany for more than a decade. As a single person without any family ties anywhere (apart from my adoptive family in the UK) I am trying to build close contacts with people from India. A connection to the motherland.

No, Pamita, I left in1997. It is not an adoption in that sense of the word. It was a friendly gesture and now I have, in a way, a family in the UK. I am now 51! LOL
