Dunno about Estas Tonne (I will search the web for references later), but I I love classical violin.

Very impressive! His guitar appears to be on fire.
I prefer violin though. Classical violin has the ability to play with my emotions in a way that no other musical instrument can.
Ya, I love violin too, but haven't found any nice places yet. Do u have any suggestion for me here in HCMC? Would like to try classical guitar as well. No electric.

To be honest I havent found any place where you can experience classical violin in Saigon.
But hang on a bit because the ENT doctor I saw last year for an ear infection, loves to play classical violin. In fact he played his violin for me when I was in his surgery waiting for the oxy gia to work its magic in my ear.
I will try and contact him to see if we can set something up - can you wait for that?
mmm
eodmatt, I went to Q&A coffee shop in Thanh Thai street on Sat. Luckily I was there at the night they played classical and old Vietnamese music from 1950-1960, great (they play different styles on different days I guess). The woman who played violin could sing both in Vietnamese and French as well. I like the atmosphere there, small, friendly, quiet and would like to be back there again when I am waiting for you. Cheers.
Btw, I found my lovely favor.band with different style, love it so much,^^
