One of my friends passport has been held by Konectt Wires & Cables Limited in tanzania, Dar es salaam. Also he has not been paid salary last 5 months....
Anyone applying for this company please be careful.
Anyone can help us resolve this issue will be appreciated.

Your friend should immediately contact his Embassy and tell them the problem. The passport is the property of the issuing country and it is illegal for a person or company to keep the passport from the person in whose name the passport has been issued.

Thanks, for the reply,
But what we fail to understand is this law also must be known by the employer and in-spite of this he is holding the passport. This cannot happen unless he has some strong backup from the country, could it happen that my friend being victimized/framed and loose his entire career going against the employer.
