I'm putting together our September trip to Panama in order for my husband and I to visit several towns. We need to pinpoint where we want to live next year. We thought about renting a car once we get off the plane but I'm afraid it might get costly and I'm not sure if I want to risk driving in a country we've never been in. Thoughts?
Also, I looked into flying to David from Panama City and then touring the coastal areas- visiting Pedasi, Las Tablas, Chitre, etc. and then ending back in Panama City. What other methods should maybe I consider in making the rounds of towns? The flight was only about 35 minutes to David but it cost $200 one way. And once we got to David, is it easier to take taxis, or buses, or car rental to make our trip?
One more thing, as far as hotels go, should I try to book in advance or just pick out a place in each town we stop in? Any recommendations on hotels? LOL- I know this is a lot of questions and I really appreciate any help
