We are moving to Swakopmund and I need all the info of what to organise before I can cross the border eg. import cost of my car, what do I need to get for my dog to cross the border, what forms and paperwork do I need etc etc. I have no idea of where to start and what to do. Do I need an inventory of my furniture and do I have to pay import tax on it? Can anybody please help me?!!!

Hey Kareen its Jon also SA citizen in Namibia. Am in the sweltry north. Nice choice...swakop, perfect climate for me. Was on holiday there 2 weeks ago. I too am considering relocating there soon. Regards to your asking my best guess is start with SA customs. The Namibian embassy in SA may also be an option. Oh, your cartage company should be in the know as well. Best wishes, Jon
