If you would like to meet young tourists coming to KL, there is a regular meet-up of people staying on the couchsurfing basis at the Curry House in Jalan Nagasari (at Hotel Istana). Think it is Thursdays at 8 pm. The whole of that area is very lively and there are lots of food places to hang out and meet people.
