Hiking around Quito

Is there a real hiking club around Quito? I want to hike without climbing the volcanos.

Hi,

I am also interested in hiking, and I found the following links in english:
http://www.saexplorers.org/member/membership-categorieshttp://www.proyectoaventura.com/

I also called to Municipio de Quito (292 0336) asking for information, they used to organize walkings (caminatas):

- Parque Ecológico  Arqueológico Rumipamba.
- Ruta de Humboldt la Chorrera - Cruz Loma.
- La Gran Cascada del río Pita.
- Ruta Ecológica Metropolitana  El Chaquiñán.
- Ruta Ecológica Metropolitana 5 de Junio  Panecillo.
- Ruta El Cinto - Torohuco.
- Reserva Geobotánica Pululahua.
- Reserva Biológica Yanacocha.
- Parque Metropolitano del Sur.

They will send me up dated info, including activities for school holidays, as soon as I get it I will post it.

(Everyone is) November 15th, 7pam, is an indoor event, just conversation, Polish dogs, beer, wine, cola etc $2 entry and $2 for each food item. November 22-23 there is a weekend hike at Otavalo. Cuicocha Lago. See the schedule.
