Dear all,

I am a garment merchant from India. I would like to seek opportunity to explore Mauritian market for my products. I can supply range of ladies garments, ethnic Indian or casual wear. My fiance is a Mauritian citizen and thus we would like to start a business there so that we could at least manage our trips. What procedure we have to follow and what all documents we need to arrange. Also, what may be the custom hurdles. Any suggestion will be deeply appreciated.

How r u.
If u r intending to hand carry some goods thru the airport customs dept. U must on reaching declare the goods on red channel where the customs officer will send these goods for clearing the next day. And u will need to take a custom broker for this procedure. This goods u can declare as sample also as i know u can hand carry much quantity by will be items wise.
And then after u will marker your goods thru other customers u will see if u want to continue a business on the local or not. Then if u want to proceed then u will need to open a company and apply for visa etc...
