S$20-25/night gives you a bed in a shared dormitory, with bath somewhere around the area.
S$60-100/night gives you a (very simple) room with shared bath.
Above S$100 you can have your own attached bath and/or aircon.
Try the Hotel 81 or Fragrance Hotel chains, or any of the small backpacker hostels in Little India or Arab Street area.
