Still trying to decide if I need to buy hurricane insurance for our villa, seems most people don't deem it necessary, but only takes one,,, any thoughts??

We don't. First it is very expensive and secondly the way these villas are built with block construction the only thing we may lose is windows and they are cheaper to replace than the insurance.
Also here on the north coast we have not had a major hurricane in over 4 years.

And in case of a big one, you may have a hard time collecting.
I don't know anyone who has purchased it.
