Hello everybody,

I have got a job offer in Manama..they r paying me 1200 BD per month in total..medical and one time to & fro flight ticket to my home country will be taken care by employer...accommodation,food and transport, I have to manage...please help me out on this.....I live a higher middle class life in India...I have gone through other blogs n posts..but not getting any concrete idea about cost of living...I am having nearly 7 yrs of work exp in one of the leading petrochemical companies in India...

hey Deb,

Well i dont think that 1200 is such a great offer since you have 7 yrs of work exp in India...may be you should negotiate with your employer for atleast 1500 BD..since you will be able to live a pretty decent life but you wont be able to save much

Simple answer - its a good package and can live comfortably - assuming its the normal range for someone in your industry and experience.
