Building a home

Had a few ups and downs with the property, you do need to be careful. The best move I made was to stay away from the U.S "real state,"  speculators.
If you can, I suggest to deal locally with the owner of the property. I saved thousands of dollars by doing my own research.

Hi Hasbeenthere,

Thank you for sharing these useful advices, it might surely help.

Do not hesitate to share your experience on the Nicaragua forum. :)

Regards,

David.

I'd check out a construction blog I did if your looking at building in Nicaragua: revealrealestate.com/blog.  It's a step by step over a 16 month period that covers it all.....soup to nuts.

I am sure that is true, when looking at properties on line, everything is over priced, you can buy cheaper in the USA, does not make sense. Realtors are really going to stick it to you, and be careful because the population thinks North Americans are wealthy.
