To get a job - in China or before China?

Is it possible to find a job in China sitting in your homeland?
Or you should come to China firstly?
I am an English and Russian teacher.
Also I have some experience in Marketing and Journalism.
Recently I got 1 offer from Shenzhen, but seemed to me it was not as good as I expected.
Should I come to Shenzhen and start looking for a job there?
Or it is better to stay where I stay and simply send resumes?
Alex

As I know from ten year sty in china if you are from west or usa or Canadian or Austrialin is much more easy to find job in china.
Normally in Shenzhen for teaching most easy but if u go hangzhou or winzhou salary more high

The answer to all of your questions is yes.

To get a job legally you usually have to apply for a Z visa from outside of China. Only an organisation registered to employ foreigners can provide you with the means to obtain this visa. Be wary of any suggestions to enter China on any other kind of visa which they promise will be changed later.

Shenzhen is a good city. I lived there for about 3 years. If you feel your potential employer could offer better then try to negotiate for a better offer.
Three suggestions;
1)Take the offer and come to Shenzhen, in the mean time search for another job.
2) Wait till you find a better employment opportunity before coming to China
3) Visit China and try to find work on your own.

BTW… Shenzhen Party, Shenzhen Daily and a host of others are always on the look out for free-lance writers.
