I am looking into Retirement in Panama, (like a lot of others). My difference is that I was born there and left at a very young age and never returned. Looking at getting my citizenship and Passport. My wife is afraid the if I do we would loose all the benefits that the counrty is offering
X-Pats to retire there. Anyone walked a mile in those shoes??

A dual citizenship is far more valuable in my opinion than senior citizen discounts. (I assume you want to keep your U.S. citizenship for reasons such as Social Security.) With your Panamanian citizenship and Panamanian passport you have far better travel options and rights living in Panama. No question about it.
