Your proverb helps solve the biggest problem of our troubled time in history of mankind where everybody wants to live well without deserving it. That will NEVER work.

People must always remember the wisdom coming from their parents (or grandparents) and anyone who loved them if they are to achieve at least what their predecessors achieved.

No matter the ups and down or the turns and twists of life, wisdom will always prevail, let's hope not at too great a cost.  :cool:
