Foreigners living in Cuba, where are you?

I was just wondering if there are any foreigners living in Cuba who actually have enough access to the internet to be involved with a blog site like this.  I need to move to Cuba (close to the Varadero area... Santa Marta or Cardenas) and I would like to know the best strategies by which I can survive there without spending all my savings.  I do have some start up money, and I am married to a Cuban man.  I'm a language teacher here in Canada.  Should I try to get residency?  Can anyone tell me about their experience getting residency in Cuba?  Maybe I'll end up liking Cuba afterall!
