HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

Yes JANUARY 31, 2014 starts the year of the horse on the lunar calender, which was largely ignored in the USA until 1/30/68 when the biggest offensive of the American involvement in the Vietnam war was launched by Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese during the usual 2 day cease fire of the lunar new year, ever after known as the Tet Offensive.
Today the year of the horse could mean that the Denver Broncos will win the big game on Sunday.  In addition the year of the horse lasts until 2/9./15, so next year it could be a Broncos vs Cowboys Super Bowl.

The Chinese Year of the Horse was ignored in America until Vietnam?  When did Americans stop ignoring the Year of the Dog?  During the Korean War?

Chinese New Year in general was ignored until the tet offensive, started the year of the  monkey.
It is NEVER the year of the dog in Korea.
