Relocation in Yangon from India

Hi,

Am moving to Yangon for an offer by an MNC  at all inclusive cost 8000 $ will it be sufficient for living (2 adult with 1 kid-7 yrs old and 1 infant ). Would greatly appreciate advice on following:

1. What would be an average monthly cost for a centrally located, comfortable, fully furnished (usuals like ac, gas, microwave, fridge, washing, vacuum, etc.) accommodation for one person (2BR)?

2. Which are the good VIP areas that provide 24hour supply of water and electricity?

3. What is average cost for hire of part time domestic staff for cooking and other household work?

5. what is the procedure to get dependent Visa (spouse and child) ?

6:Study cost for 3rd standard in a good international school ?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Rohit

You will probably get better information from people who actually live in Myanmar. Don't you think that you should really be asking your questions in the Myanmar Forum?

1. Never mind centrally localed - the best condos go for around US$4500 per month, the average will be around US$1000 to 1500, Please note and be aware that it is common practice to pay 12 months rent upfront.

2. Yangon has decent electricity now, just study the Yangon map areas around the lakes are lovely to live.

3. Full time Domestic staff -  It would cost you between US$50 and US$100.

5. what is the procedure to get dependent Visa (spouse and child) -  You really want professionals to handle this, do not try to do it on your own.

6:Study cost for 3rd standard in a good international school ?  About US$7500 per year.

Well, I think I can answer #3. If you need qualified English staff, you will need to pay at very least $100 (full-time). But if you really need someone with reasonably good English, and also a few years of experience with expat families, you should budget between $150-$200. If you just need part-timers, they will usually charge around $5-$7/day.
