Hey guys I will be training the maintenance guys on your plants so please run them nice so we don't get too much work ;-)
Will be good to put faces to names when we actually get there, looking like March for me and I will be going directly to Saudi no training in another country first. Just hope they get the camp sorted !!

of course we will run them perfectly haha

Please if have already joined   Sadara in Jubail, can you share some infor about the accommodation? Does the Expatriate women  allowed to drive a car or not?

Karim22 no women can not drive. There is guy on here from my area that is also going to the same plants as a console operator.
ElMaturin visa times depend on things in your country,  here in the uk the whole process seems to take around 3 months. That is for all tge checks, the medical and visa.
Wifeofanexpattobe my wife and kids will be coming with me, they will come after me as I need to sort iut schools etc before they come. Really looking forward to the adventure :-)

I have been offered a job in Sadara Chemicals, Jubail end of Dec 2013 (Transportation Controller in Supply Chain Logistic Division)  the visa is being processed for my self and Family as per the on boarding Specialist the visa should arrive Some time in Jan as they started the process on Dec 26, 2013  and they want me to be there by end of Feb or March Hopefully (Inshallah) here is my Time line below,

Applied for an opening on : Dec 16,2013 From Toronto, Canada
Email received from HR for Interview : Dec 17, 2013
Interview via Skype : Dec 19, 2013  ( 25 Minutes Interview) told me that they will respond back in 2 weeks but within 30 minutes same day Sadara HR emails me to send the copies of Degree, certificates, driving License , passport details for myself and my family and latest pay slips
Details emailed : Dec 19, 2013
Job Offer email : Dec 25, 2013
Job Offer revised (some errors) they fixed it : Dec 25, 2013
Revised Job offer received : Dec 25, 2013
Offer Confirmed : Dec 25, 2013
On boarding Dept Emailed : Dec 26, 2013...... visa process started on Dec 26, 2013 told to contact their agent in Ottawa
application submitted to the agent with all the documents and police clearance on : Dec 31, 2013
Medical process will start soon by early next week : Jan
so far this is my timeline will post once i have more info
But one thing i really appreciate is that Sadara HR personals who i dealt with were very cooperative and prompt in answering the emails or Queries

Now then mate, I will be joining you too March 28th I fly out though. I'm down as a console operator for Isoccyanates but have never operated the process! I was confused at the 'interview' (wasn't much of one) as I explained what I did (control room op for different complex process) and they said ok we'll offer you field role. I said I wasn't interested and on way home they called to offer me DCS role.

Tried to find soem basic background on the process just to try and give myself some kind of start but really struggling to find anything. Could any of you possibly help by sending me some reading or basic plant operations? PM me for email if you can. Much appreciated.

Since how long waiting for the visa I am waiting since December 2013 they told visa should arrive by next month?

Same here, waiting for paperwork from Sadara to be sent mid Feb then visa should be issued approx 5 days later. Around 23 of us in the same position here in the UK.

Compound? I thought we were in a hotel.

hotel for the first 2 weeks then getting moved to the al-farooq compound until my family arrive then moved to another compound as this compound is for males only

I fly out a week Saturday,  just trying to sort out a visa for my OJT in America
