Contact with locals

Hey,

I'm a journalist trying to get over to Sierra Leone to cover a story on the failure of the Millenium Development goals to stop the high rate of unemployment (at 70% for youths currently). I know this isn't exactly what this forum is for but would anyone be able to point in the right direction for getting in contact with local youths. Any help would be appreciated.
