Do you know if there will be a special service at the Stone Heart Cathedral of Guangzhou on Christmas Day in English? If yes, at what time?

What does Guangzhou city offer for December 31st? I know the main New Year celebrations will follow the Chinese calendar and will therefore be held in January, but I am hoping there will be something like special events in the city centre or by the riverbank (I am not interested in parties in hotels or similar stuff).

How about in Honk Kong and Macau? Where do you suggest spending the night of Dec 31st?

there are lots of christmas parties in the clubs all over gz. you could check echinacities. com or gzcityguide for upcoming events.

hello there..
i would suggest enjoying the Christmas at Guangzhou there a lot of activities in different places along the river ..
that's just a personal opinion ... you can chose what is best for you.
i don't actually prefer HK...
