1. Gasoline
2. Public transport and adequacy thereof
3. Housing single person
4. Milk, bread, coffee, veggies, ground beef, li' dat
5. Clothes
6. Sundries like laundry and other soaps, bleach, TP, dog food, hygiene stuff
7. Hows health care there?

The best information is found in the French Polynesian newspapers. There four available on line. http://www.thetahititraveler.com/ will give you two in its multi media section. Use google translate.

Read the economic sections. Every now and then they have good articles on unemployment, budget and changes in the cost of living. The previous site you were given is not updated regularly and is not particularly accurate.
