Seeking Legal Advice
Hello Guys.
I was a former expat in the region. My contract was terminated halfway thru the duration and while I was on vacation on home country. I am now working in an Asian city but life is not as same like in middle east.
My problem is this.. when I was terminated.. i still have outstanding personal loan in the country where i'm working before. I emailed the bank regarding the situation, explaining that it was not my fault to default on my obligations but made a promise that as soon as I got good job, i will start to repay them again. My salary now is not as much as what I was receiving before (just over 1/2 of the last salary I had) and its not even enough for my remittance back home to my family.
My question is this, I want to go back to middle east, which I think can offer me at least the same as I was earning before there, but Im afraid that even if I avoid to be relocated back to my last country stint there, they might apprehend me and jail me due to this loan issue. I would like to fulfil this commitment of paying the bank since it is not on my character to be a swindler.
Is it true that one's your black listed in any GCC country, you cannot enter the other GCC country? Is there any bearing to this information?
Is there any legal help that I can seek for me to settle this for me to be able to go back there and work and start paying again without the fear of persecution?
I would appreciate any legal advise coming everybody.
I hope everybody understands my situation.
Thank you to all for listening.
More power to all of you!
