Sel Defense

Dear all,

Is there any Gracie Barra / Krav Maga academy in Montreal?

Took all of two minutes to Google

www.gbmontreal.ca   and www.krav.ca/index.php/krav-maga-montreal-en.html

but what the heck.

Canada doesn't sell defense.  They buy it.

And borrow it from West Edmonton Mall too Hailey. Don't forget they're the ones with all the submarines. LOL

For some reason, I never think about Edmonton.

Hi..that's a typographical error..My mistake ;-))

Speaking of krav maga, Bart Simpson got his butt kicked in Israel by a girl who knew it.

Krav Maga is very serious, but great self defense technique :-)

Oooppss...sorry sir..I missed the idea of googling it ;-))

Self-defense is very important when you live in Canada.  You never know when someone is going to hold the door open for you at Tim Hortons.

Regular self defense training is a great workout to stay fit!
You also learn how to fall safely, which I expect will come very handy on the slippery pavements all winter (we've only been here in the summer...)
I use Tai Chi every day for opening the heavy doors, or holding them open for others while passing Montreal metro stations.

So it is far from being useless just because you won't go around punching people much.

I never thought about using tai chi to open doors.  I mostly just push them.

Which is what Tai Chi is all about ;-)
