Registering a birth in Lebanon

if it is already too late to reply to this thread then sorry....if not:

a child born to foreign parents go register the baby at their embassy. But as far as I know it also needs to get registered at the district office as well (since my husband is Lebanese he takes care of the local paperwork and I take care of the German paperwork).

As far as I know you receive a birth certificate from the hospital which then needs to be registered at the district office and then taken to your embassy where they can also issue a certificate applicable in your country and register the child as a citizen of your country (this is the case for Germany at least).

I know there is a lot to research about :-(
