Van or Toronto in terms of job?

If you have been reading any of the forum postings about finding a job in Canada you should already know that it is NOT an easy thing to do. Given that Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver for decades have been the top three destinations chosen by newcomers to Canada I'm sure that you can appreciate the fact that they are now oversaturated with immigrants and are now the three most difficult places in all of Canada to find a job. That is because for every job vacancy you will be competing not only with all the other newcomers to Canada, but also with all the local residents who are unemployed - pretty tough to do.

If you really want to come to Canada on a working holiday with the eventual goal of PR status then I would highly recommend that you seriously think about the Province of Alberta instead. Alberta is one of the areas of best economic growth in the whole country and is a much better location for finding a job. Actually there are more job vacanciess available then there are people to fill them. Both Calgary and Edmonton are wonderful cities to live in, they are modern and cosmopolitan just like Toronto and Vancouver, the cost of living will be lower and while the winter weather in those cities won't be as good as in Vancouver it certainly won't be any worse that the winters in Toronto.

So, now it is up to you to do some serious thinking.... you can stick with your idea of Toronto or Vancouver and risk not being able to find a job at all; or you can seriously consider Alberta and begin looking there with a much better chance of success. I can't speak for YOU... but I know what I would choose!

First of all, I'm very grateful that you replied so particularly. I didn't prospect the answer like yours would come. Very very honorable.

I heard from my friend it's really tough thing to get a job in Vancouver, but I didn't know the same thing in Toronto...from now on I'm looking up about Alberta first on the Internet instead of Vancouver and Toronto.
By the way, I read your profile, then you are from Canada, aren't you? Which part of Canada you used to live? Tell me if you can. And also I am into your career and  want you to teach me English, you know, My English is insuffiient...
