Moving from Bogota, Colombia To Aberdeen

HI all

I'm Jo from Venezuela, I have been leaving in Bogota,  since March 2011.
we just got our transfer letter to move to Aberdeen in about 4 weeks
my husband  work for a oil company, he's from Bournemouth, England.
we have 5 years old daughter and two dogs.

I would like to know about schools publics and privates.  As an expat we always have our daughter in private school, is there any differences between public and private schools in Aberdeen?

are locals people friendly?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

I don't know about schools, but I would guess that given how wealthy the city is, there will be some very good schools there. I have always found the people from Aberdeen to be very friendly. I can't imagine you would have any problems meeting new people and making friends. With the oil industry being there, I think it's quite a diverse city considering its size. This would also help with settling in I guess.
