Decent cheap hotel recommendations in Quito?

Hi, I'm considering moving to ecuador and in October I'm taking a trip down to Quito.

I've done some research, but I want others opinions on the best hotels for a cheap price range.

Two I found that seem decent in price and reviews are:

Sol De Quito

and

Real Audiencia

Let me know what your opinions are or if you have suggestions for decent hotels that aren't too expensive (probably under $100 per night).

I stayed in the Novel Hostel in North Central Quito for $15 a night. I talked them down from $20 by paying several days in advance. It was clean and basic. Big private room, ok shower, a little noisy, cheap laundry service. It's a 20 minute bus ride to the historical district. Getting in and out can be a pain. You have to ring a bell and sometimes wait for someone to wake up, but they always answer eventually. It's on a side road called Paris. No web site. I live 2 blocks away now, so I can get contact info if you want.
