ESL Teachers - Who to work for?

Websites like Dave's and posts on expat-blog are saturated with negative information/experiences about

>Education Experts (EdEx)
>Arabian Education Teaching Group (AETG)
>Saudi British Centre (SBC)

to name just a few.

So.. I would like to know if anyone actually has ANY RECOMMENDATIONS for agencies/institutes/schools/universities to teach at?

Thank you

No recommendation except that you focus on those universities that hire directly and not through sketchy contracting companies.  Hiring season (for direct-hire opportunities) for this academic year is over; however, your best bet for a face-to-face interview will be at next year's TESOL Arabia conference and job fair when a half dozen Saudi universities start recruiting. You might also find postings on higheredjobs.com and chronicle.com.  Be aware direct-hire positions typically require a TEFL-related graduate degree plus experience.

Thanks smurfette for your response.

When is the "direct-hire" season?

Peak recruiting and hiring starts around March and usually ends in June.  TESOL Arabia's yearly conference and job fair is held in Dubai in March and is attended by half a dozen major Saudi universities looking to fill positions for the next academic year.  Some of these same unis also attend similar annual events at IATEFL in the UK and TESOL International in the US.
