Accommodation for rent

I have posted a message on the housing section. I have tried home away with no success and a few other sites and had only one reply from many requests I have sent. There seems to be plenty apartments available but no one ever replies. I have written some in French with the use of a translator app but no reply from then either. We have booked flights on the 27 September and as yet have nowhere to stay. Also, II have been trying to get somewhere in the trois islet area  because we need to be near everything . Is there another area of the island we could stay without transport. I.E. we could get to supermarkets and the beach without a car.
