Hi all. My husband had been offered a job in Sydney. We will be relocating from South Africa. We have a 5 year old and an 8 year old. Please can someone tell me more or less what a good combined salary is (before tax) for us to live comfortably. Many many thanks

Your husband would be paying around 25% tax on his salary but you would get a little of that back when you put in your yearly tax return.
Cost of living is high here. Try this website for cost of living rentals etc www.numbeo.com The closer to the city the more expensive to rent
Schooling will be a big cost too. You need to do an online search for schools near your husband's work or where you intend to live.
Travel in rush hour can be a nightmare.
