Looking for an English speaking Physician in Guayaquil ASAP

I need an English Speaking medical doctor in Guayaquil, as soon as possible. thank you

If any ex-Pats would like to recommend local professionals I would like to hear from you. I am trying to put together a list of professionals and tradesmen that could be of use to the ex-pat community.

Hi, did you have any luck finding one that was capable and spoke English? If so I would appreciate details so that I can add that person to our list of useful professionals. Many thanks, John

Regretfully, I did not find anyone in Guayaquil. I ultimately went to the Cancer Treatment Center of America and I received excellent care. If your problem is cancer and if you have insurance, I highly recommend them. They will pay for your round trip airfare from Ecuador and they take care of all of your billing. They have all the doctors (and support) that you need.

Hi,

Maybe this list may help someone else:

- http://www.guiatelefonica.com.ec/mas_in … a-columna-  vertebral-dr-octavio-suarez-c                             Spinal column specialist
- http://www.inguayaquil.com/medical-services/                  This one a small list, but you will have to make a call  to know their speciality

There are definitley English speaking doctors in Ecuador…….making a list is a great idea….

Here's the US embassy's list of recommended doctors in Quito:

While the embassy list is a start, the question is which are good and certainly this list is far from comprehensive…….
I will be thinking about how best to compile a list and to sort out who is good and not….God willing, if time, I will start on this in July or so……
Another option, depending on what is needed, are the expats gringos who are doctors……I am one and am aware of at least 1 other………
Ecuador has many well trained doctors here and although I have no experience, some bad ones as well who are primarily in the more rural locations.  There are also more than a few Cuban doctors who in my limited experience are OK for some things, but certainly not the best trained in many, if not most cases.

Hi,

This kind of list was also available in Mauritius where I was living till last year, and that list was very good! So I really believe you can trust the one you found here.

I have met with one of the doctors from that list (Wilson Pancho) and have been pleased.

He speaks excellent English.
