Have a question to ask on house rental here in Jakarta. Was told by the agent that if the rental agreement is on personal basis I.e. between house owner and yourself, then there is no need to pay the taxes (VAT, PPh and PPn). However if the agreement is between the owner and your company, then the taxes apply. Is this the legal position here ? Just don't want to get into trouble.

No problem with personal agreement. I helped my dad do this when I lived in Jakarta. Its pretty simple. Your company should be taking care of this though.

Hi there..
Landlord still have to pay his income tax or wihtolding tax 10% and this tax can be included in the price or not. Depend on the deal between both parties.
