I am wondering since we have people from different background-countries. I am interested to know what you think about attending Indonesian wedding event. I mean I have attended wedding in other countries before but I have never had a wedding with 2000+ guest which looks like a common event in a Jakarta wedding. Any comment? are these common in other countries?

I wouldn't say that 2000+ guests weddings are common in Indonesia aside from those weddings where the bride and/or groom are from “economically substantial” families.

Wear a batik shirt, wander around with a large smile and hake a lot of hands.
You'll find a box as you enter.
Make sure you have some cash in an envelope to stuff in the box.
