thanks gpms. r these numbers of some agency or maids that u have tried out. plenty of cleaning services but prefer a person who is tried and tested and is reliable. safety first and thats why im looking for recommendations.

individual maids I tried too 2 3 times.. dam sure you will get good services from them .. some maids will not offer their services for bachelors so I am not sure about the mentioned phone numbers how they are good?.

They can charge RM 20 - 25 per hour & min 3 - 4 hours.

I am using services from one agency past 6 months they are providing indo maids very strict and they charge RM 50 for 4 hours.

yes, i did find someone. i have nice filipino maid who comes in thrice a week for 3 hrs. pleasant personality and very thorough. but she prefers working in the wangsa maju area where i live. but u can try the numbers that gpms has provided.

If you are looking for one time cleanup, i suggest you call up the cleaning agencies instead of looking for a maid. The one that i know of is "one bright Cleaning Services" i usually call them up once a week and they do a decent job.

Maid services are very costly in KL? If I compare with India...normal cleaning+ washing dishes can be done in MYR50-70 per month ( and in the most costly city of Mumbai).....I just can't imagine paying +2000 MYR to maids for a month ( 30 days* 3hrs per day*avg 25 MYR).....please correct me if I am wrong.....it totally defies purchase parity concept......I would be glad if someone corrects my calculation.........I am moving to KL in some months and this calculation has rocked my budgeting.......please assist

Hi ibankerr, yes, it's a bit expensive here for part-time maids. Expect to pay in the range of 15-25 MYR per hour. It depends on the area you live in. I end up paying almost 500 MYR a month for 3hrs a day thrice a week. I'd recommend this option rather than a daily maid. I know the feeling since I'm originally from mumbai

The cost of services here is much higher if you do a straight conversion to Indian Rs. I have moved to KL few months back and would recommend that you be careful when budgeting for any service. Be it house help, cooking etc.( even a hair cut :-) )

I used to go to Puchong to fetch the maid from the agency. Rate is RM60 for 6 hrs, but it is too time consuming.
Your reccommendation is the next cheapest on the list.
