Belize
Hello all,
My partner and I are considering moving in the next few years to Belize from San Diego, CA. We're visiting San Pedro for a week in Feb '08 to check things out - and enjoy some holiday time. Hoping to connect with some other locals, expatriates or "next expatriates". Any suggestions about where to look for property, business opportunities or just a fun evening out would be great!

Hi,
San Pedro is a great vacation spot, but unless you are planning a business, it is not the cheapest place to live. It will be more the US life style.
Check out some of the coastal areas on the mainland for a little more affordable and laid back place. Let me know your interests and I can be more specific.
What is your price range and expectations for purchasing property(ie. oceanfront, oceanview, river or jungle) .Do you want to be more remote or do you wish to be by lots of amenities? There is just about everything here, why not tell a little more about what you are looking for.
