Hi everyone I am considering moving to New Zealand in 2015 to further my diploma in Early Childhood Development but I'm not sure wether to get a student visa and just study or get a working holiday visa before I plan to stay there.Please advice me on this matter

Get a student visa and do it! That area of qualification is in very high demand right now. There aren't many qualified people in the industry after the government introduced new regulations and tidied up the industry. Have a look in the jobs section under 'education' at www.trademe.co.nz......you'll see what I mean.

hi if you travel on a SA passport you cannot get a working holiday visa in to NZ or Australia for that matter

Actually you would be better off getting a degree in SA before you come..Diploma's are not recognised here (at least not for teaching Registration or points for skilled migrant applications..Its likely you will not get a job either.
To study here costs $NZ17,000 per ear (x 7 to obtain the rand equivalent)
