Job as a doctor in Indonesia?

Hi dear, sammayy
can you give me informations how can Iapply for a job as a doctor in Indonesia?   from  salahedinhezo

You asked this question before.

The news is still the same:

Foreigners are generally not allowed to practice the medical arts in Indonesia aside from a few exceptions and extenuating circumstances.

hello doctor,

maybe u can apply in international hospital that located in jakarta..try find in google for the list address of those international hospital.
i think is good if indonesia allowed foreign doctor work in international hospital especially in jakarta our capital city who have so many expat around working and living here..:-)

bel najah doctor! hope u get dream job soon amin

It doesn't matter if the hospital in Indonesia is an international hospital or one which mostly treats Indonesian citizens.  The fact remains…foreign MD's are not allowed to practice medicine here except in unusual and extenuating situations.  Two examples of those kind of extenuating situations was the Boxer Day Tsunami and the first Bali bombing where triage specialists and other foreign specialists were allowed to volunteer and offer their assistance.

If Salahedinhezo is totally committed to practicing medicine here in Indonesia then he will need to pursue Indonesian citizenship and also be aware that Indonesia does not allow for dual citizenship.  That process…obtaining Indonesian citizenship is both time consuming and expensive.

While this requirement may seem rather draconian, the fact is that Thailand, which is a well acknowledged leader in “medical tourism” viz, Bumrungrad, the requirements there are similar to here in Indonesia.
