Hello, I am new to the Maadi area, and would like to know where I can buy nice, reasonably priced bed sheets for an Egyptian king. Would like all cotton with a high thread count. I bought some near the Cornice and after 2 washing's are already pilling terribly.Thanks.

Hi, I have a related question: I have just 2 week before I have to pack and move out to Cairo.
I want to take linen with me from the UK, but we have a range of sizes available.
Can anyone suggest the typical dimensions of a larger sized bed in Egypt ? Believe it or not, terms like king and queen size doesn't mean anything as there's no global standard.
I'm guessing I'll rent an apartment furnished, so it will also depend on what the landlord provides, but I'm aiming for a reasonably high end apartment.
