Moving to Las Uvas de San Carlos, Panama

Hi there
My Husband Rob (who is also on the forum) came out in December to see if we would like to live there...needless to say we loved it!
We have just booked our flights to come back with the kids for 2 weeks over Easter, to check out things in more detail and hope to be living there by June this year!
We have found that you cannot necessarily find out everything you need on the internet!
We would like more info on learning Latin American Spanish, Healthcare and other insurances for home and car, used cars and anything else that could be of use to us!
Thank you!

Hi Lorna,
We love San Carlos, it's a great location, close to everything. You might check this out if you are looking for a place down the road.  http://panamanlife.wordpress.com/wp-adm … ostpost=v2

Hi,
Thank you, will do.
Have you lived there long?

About four years.

I studied Spanish by internet with Habla Ya for months before arriving, and continue to do so now. http://www.hablayapanama.com/ I find them very professional and good at what they do, and my teacher has helped me enormously! Learn as much Spanish as you can!! It makes things so much easier.

I'm in David and not familiar with your area so I'm not sure if I have much more useful info.

If you are purchasing a used car, you have to check out Auto Market Panama http://automarketpanama.com/index.php?o … s&Itemid=1 ask for Edward Acosta  and tell him that Mary has sent you. He'll give you a great deal and he is fantastic, great customer service, goes out of his way to help. We bought two used cars from him.
