There's lots of places out in the desert.  But I'd be afraid of injury here--I don't think the system is the best.

By injury, I meant something a bit more serious :P

Does Allie want to climb?!
She wrote that she gained 10 lb !
Don't take your eyes off her folks we still need her !

Climbing is dangerous...apparantly :-)

If you're determined to climb then there is of course an active bunch of peeps in Riyadh. There are both rock and indoor walls even within the city limits. The saudi mountaineering group on facebook should be a better place to get information. I only found negative responses and poor information on this forum.

I am here in al Haql, Tabuk northern part of Saudi Arabia. Too much climbing here if you wish. Mountains and boulders are very huge to count in specially on the way to Ah Haql. You guys will enjoy the outdoor here.

Hey cool! Is there anywhere we can train in the city before hand?

Hi

Just arrived last week, i'm up for some climbing as son as my gear arrives.  Please keep me in the loop.

Hey so all I have managed to find is a bit of training on the landscaped areas at the dip quarter.... all limestone cliffs to the east of the city I have visited are to weathered and crumbly. The added mix of wild baboons is a little confronting.

anybody else got any training ideas?

Hi mate. I fly back into Riyadh on 20th december. Do you climb during summer months? I can bring some of my rack over if needed.

Salam! Interested in climbing or any adventure activities. Willing to join in.
