Hi Teesol,
I have visited St Kilda, Melbourne. Its a good area,Particularly on week ends after noons. there are some cafes, Cake shops and internet cafe and pubs and bars.
Life is cozy. there is a Park .
Some activities on the seaside..
And its only about 25 mins by Trams to the CBD.
hope you enjoy yourself when you get there.

Hey,
Im living in Elwood, practicaly 5mins from St Kilda 
it is a good place to live with a good transport access and many shops around. Even though you are very close to the beach you can find an accomm for reasonable price as well
