secondly my passport is ok althrough it will expire after 3 months.

Please reply

Your chances of getting visa are slim, due to the fact that your passport will expire after 3 months. For any international travel min time frame required to have in passport is at least 6 months. Some people may have got visas and visited, but its risky in my opinion and you are better off prepared.

You will get visa on arrival at the airport if you carry original iqama with you.

You will get arrival visa easily there is no problem in it, but passport expiry date is very near so there might be some issue in it, as sometimes they dont give and sometimes they do :)

Hello Rashid..

You will have definite problem with your passport.. As Validity of passport should be minimum 6 Months from date of arrival..

Since I'm in the travel trade business, I could assure you that this would be a problem..

Better have your passport renewed..

All the best !!

is original iqama must to carry? the photocopy attested by your company wont work no more?

Also one of my cousin was forced to show a Hotel reservation at the airport for on arrival visas although he was coming from emirates from UK. After brief argument he was forced to take a 5 star hotel booking to get the visa despite the fact he didnt need that as his elder bro was already a resident in dubai and working at a managerial post.. dont know about this hotel reservation requirement for on arrival visas..

No need for Original Iqama.. As most companies take your Iqama while giving your passport.. Just a copy would work.. Also if it is stamped by your company, much better..

But usually your Iqama Number and profession is mentioned on your passport.. They check it thru that..

That was true some one year back. Then Abu Dhabi immigration started enquiring about the original iqama. Shortly after, Dubai and Sharqah followed suit. I don't know what's the situation now but I strongly recommend  to take original iqama along.

i guess mine is not mentioned on passport because I am living here for like 3 decades and my pasports have no visa or anything related to ksa on em except the entry exit stamps. and plz make sure that original Iqama is not mandatory as I dont want any issues at the port.. Hope u guide me in it about the exact rules :)

its a hassle to convince your HR to give you iqama and pasport on the same time as its against company policy mostlty.. what if, for few, they deny giving u both on same time u cant get on arrivals then? not impressed..

Usually they let you have both if you tell them you'd be going to UAE who'll require you to show the original iqama.

Again, I strongly advise: Don't go without having the original iqama.

:top:

As far as I know, original iqama is now required to Bahrain, Dubai and Qatar at least since this was asked from me until recently.

well there is ambiguity in this rule as the one operating as travel agent said original not required but few others saying its must.. any one who personally visited dubai recently on photocopies????

Original Iqama is not required, now they have centralized system in GCC so even by Iqama no they get all the information, just keep copy with you and thats enough.

Hi guys,

Just to update all those who wish to travel to UAE by road, I traveled to UAE / Dubai for this new years with my passport having more than 6 months expiry and my iqama having more than 4 months expiry, my iqama profession being Engineer.

Anyway, the rules (as written on the board on the UAE side border post arrival hall) are as follows:

1. Show the original passport
2. Show the customs permit (from Saudi post)
3. Show the original residence visa (iqama) or a certified copy, VALID NOT LESS THAN 3 months.

Hope this helps all those who wish to travel via road.

need to talk in same regards, can u share your number please.
Sahil-0547504215

what does exactly a certified copy mean? a one with CoC stamp or mofa stamp  or just the company stamp will be enough? and from where to get that customs letter? they give that on the border post for the car?

were u also forced to buy a room in hotel and show em reservation? coz i heard showing em hotel reservation is must for an on arrival visa for Saudi iqama holders.

My question is , I wanna visit Dubai   , and I don't know If I can get VOA , am not categorized as Working profession on my Iqama , it just says am dependent  :unsure

Help me out !

And if anyone can let me know is it the same thing with Qatar ? Oman ? Kuwait ?

Nope , I didn't travel with my father to Bahrain , been travelling to Bahrain alone for 4 times now , and no problem for me on the causeway !

My question is , I would love to go to Dubai , does the same rule apply ?
What about Qatar , Oman , Kuwait ?

did you face any problem with on-arrival?

Didn't travel yet -__-

Only high professions can get it I guess ! VOA

Been to Bahrain only , and it only gives VOA as am resident of KSA .

I guess calling the UAE consulate would help a lot !

Are you talking about UAE ?

They take only high professions !

And I as a dependent , i.e on my fathers iqama , can't get visa on arrival !
that is what the absher service on DRND UAE website said !

Dear All,

if anyone guide me, if I someone has got valid 90 days work visa (engineer profession) for KSA stamped on passport then he can go for UAE residence work visa or not:

First case: He did not travel to KSA on this visa but visa is still valid

Second case: He travelled to KSA but resign without residence visa stamping / IQAMA.
Also is there any requirement of sponsor NOC for exit or not?

Please give your valuable advise at earliest.

Thanks in advance.

Has the installment finished and is the car under your name. If so you wont need anything other than the isthimara, driving license and insurance. If not and vehicle still under leasing company name then you need letter from them (permission to drive to other country) along with letter from Police.

Hey thx Hrguru
And no the installments are not yet finished
But the istimara is on my name
The firm has given me a attested copy of istimara along with kia al jabr book let which has a record of my file with them
Still i will inquire at their showroom n check with them and the police also

Okay so i have a question, I recently got married in pakistan, i came back to dubai, i am here on an investor visa, my wife went back home to family in riyadh.
Due to some unforeseen cicumstances, we havent gotten around to changing her passport and hence i am not able to apply for her UAE residence visa, her iqama is sponsored by her father, so i just want to find out
1. Whether she can travel to UAE on her Saudi Iqama without her father accompanying her? and if not then
2. Will i be able to get her a visit visa through emirates airlines, and for how long will that be and what are the charges?

And 3, if neither of the above are possible what other way would you suggest for me to get her here?

Thank you.

option 2 is do able for sure. for details contact emirates airlines to know how long that visit visa could be. also you can offer her a visit visa on your own ! no need to make it from emirates airlines.. Regards

Since she has a valid iqama in KSA and if she carries the original with her she can get visa on arrival in UAE. Option 2 is also possible, another option and safest way is you get a visit visa for her in UAE (or invitation letter) and then she comes to UAE from KSA with it.

Dear Haroon
From you got the information that the iqama validity should be 3months +, so that we can quote upon enquiry.
