Hi all,

In order to keep the forum clear, friendly and useful, we invite you to follow these guidelines. They have been made to help you in using the forum.

> Before writing, we invite you to have a look at the previous threads to make sure your topic wasn't already covered.

> When starting a new thread, select its title wisely: the clearer it is, the more answers you will receive.

> Ask one question at a time: it would be easier for the other members to answer. Of course, you can post other questions later.

>Do not forget to introduce yourself: it will help to give you a personalized answer and it will be much more pleasant.

> Please respect the topic categories: avoid going off-topic and feel free to create a new thread to talk about a new topic.

> Avoid posting personal details, such as your phone number, email address or Skype contact, on a public forum. The Expat.com team will remove these details for your safety.

> For any question related to the use of the website or for a technical problem, please use our contact form.

Make sure to write correctly and clearly on the forum so that everyone can understand: avoid cap locks and SMS language.

If you want to post a job offer or if you are looking for a job, please post on the Philippines Jobs section.

If you are looking for an accommodation or want to offer one, please go to the Philippines Housing section.

Hi there,

I'm Pete a new member.  :)

Hello everyone. I'm new here. Shane :-)

Thank you for being accepted in this forum. I read your rules and I respect and have to follow.  More power to this site.

The reason I joined your forum is to be able to make a little networking with Filipino community in your place, Paris. I am not familiar with French language so If our plan pushed thru on Dec 2015 we will be there. What are we going to do in Paris? We are going to present our own-developed-technology that has something to do in mitigating greenhouse gasses. I am one of executive officers of an NGO and a Stock Corporation that owns this technology. This stock corporation will be manufacturing climate change technology-based product that will be introduced to my country and to be licensed to international partners so the technology would be available globally to help us reduce in significant degree the overwhelming CO2 particulate matters in the atmosphere. We'll be in Paris for a cause and not for hug and kisses. It is work related and no hunky funky. so Filipino out there we will be seeking your help in so many ways specially communication. Warm greetings to all out there!

hi im lizzie! :) im a new member of expat. i live in manila philippines :)

Hello my name is Ronel, I'm just new here. Now I know the rules. Thanks

My name is Dana, I go by Poorman...I am very pleased to find this forum and I plan on using it constantly to prepare myself for a possible move to the Philippines ... location Unknown but I am eying Mindanao or Letey at the moment.
Any information or advice on any part of my quest would be accepted graciously and enthusiastically!

Poor man,

For Mindanao it would be best in Davao and nearby cities..as Leyte is prone to storm and typhoon.

It's good to be well-informed!

This is very helpful for future purposes

Poorman, It Depends upon the lifestyle you want. Or who you are connected to. Maybe make a list of your must haves; will tolerate; and definitely do not want. Then repost that to get others' opinions.

Hi Everyone,
I am currently in negotiations for a position in Metro Manila(Makati City)
Any advice would be helpful.

Liz (Los Angeles California)
