HIV medication

My employer wants me to do some work in Abu Dhabi - 1/2 weeks every month for three months. I'm assuming I can get a business visa without having to have a blood test.  My problem is bringing my HIV medication as it is banned. 

What is the probability of customs finding my medication and how rigerous are they?

I've heard horror stories about codine etc.

I often travel to the States and I have never had problems with customs and I keep my meds in a vitimin pill bottle
