Sling box
I know this is probably a stupid question but thought I would ask in hope more than anything.
I am presuming that the internet connection in tripoli is not of a standard that you would be able to watch TV over the internet using a slingbox setup from the UK.
I look forward to your replies!!!

Re: Sling box
Here in Janzour with a Wimax box we can watch TV with the slingbox, sometimes the picture is good but it can be a bit jumpy and pixellated, certainly wouldn't want to use it for all our viewing.

Re: Sling box
You'd be surprised how good the connection speed is, particularly if you optimise the signal reception using external antennae.
Our connection at home supports Skype, hi-res webcam images and U-Tube videos most of the time and Mrs S regularly downloads Mb sized files in a matter of minutes.
The louder you scream the faster we go
