living outside cities

i am considering coming to iceland for a visit to decide if i will move there when i retire. cananyone direct me to a sourse

of information on places to live in the country. i mean non-tourist ares. possible to rent a room in a house or farm

if you're coming now, it's kind of off-season, and a lot of places outside the bigger towns are closed now.

You could try the Icelandic Farm Holidays site for some rural spots. Probably a few of those guesthouses are still open: farmholidays.is/
