It might be enough if you ran a tight ship. No car payments, no insurance premiums.

Estimates:

Groceries= 900
Leisure= 500
Transportation= 240 for 2 TTC monthly passes
or 400 dollars for a car payment 300 dollars for insurance and 200 dollars for fuel
Rent= 950 to 1300 for a 2 bedroom apartment in Scarborough
Phones+Internet= 150

Is that 3500 a month for both of you combined? or Individual incomes?

If its combined 3500 then you should be okay. However you really gotta keep track of your financials.

Ontario is becoming much more expensive to live especially with a child. There is always unexpected costs with child care and other necessities. Like cando said, you need to run a tight ship.

No Car, Take TTC, Only buy what you need and SAVE.

i agree living in this place is not cheap at all.
everything is much expensive if u dont make much or
dont have saving to bring over.

i just came back to the country and find things are not
as exciting as i though.  u need a job that pays good else
is hard to stand.
